A Moment 23 Years In The Making

So, I had to take the weekend to process it all. Thursday was Bon Jovi day! Meaning...Their concert was that night! So, on our way down there I was suffering from buyers remorse over our seats. We were on the floor, but in the second section on the very edge of one of the side sections. So, I was worried that this was going to be a night like the one U2 concert I went to...ie: too short on flat ground to see anything...And then getting peed on. Yeah...For real. Anyhoo... Fate knew better. Fate is what got me the tickets I ended up with. Why you may ask... Because I HAD JON BON JOVI'S HAND....IN MY HAND!!! AAAAAGHGHGGHHGHAAHGHGGHGHGHGHAHHGH!!!!!

He sang the first song of the show from the back of the floor section (right behind us!) and then after the first song he walked down the aisle that I was sitting on the aisle seat of, on his way to the stage. Let me just say... I lost my mind! I was one of those girls you see on old Beatles footage that are like clawing at their own face and hair because they're just THAT flipped out! I leaned over at watched him walk down the aisle... Toward our fateful meeting (::crying, crying, crying::) , then he was literally right in front of me (::crying, crying, crying:: and in my mind the next 10 seconds seem to have lasted an hour), He looked at me so I stuck out my hand.... (::now not crying...just still::) and he took my hand and smiled at me....and kept on walking down the aisle (::crying, shaking, crying, level 5 meltdown, shaking, crying etc:: This continued throughout the next two songs)

It was, quite simply, one of the greatest moments of my life. I still can't get over it... I've closed my eyes and replayed it a million times already, that moment meant so much to me. As for the rest of the show.. of course it was amazing! Great screen/stage set-up, and my boys were kicking some ass! This show was better than their last concert here I thought. It was absolutely an incredible evening that I'll never forget.

Seriously.

Fate.

First let me say sorry to anyone else that will read this and have no idea what I'm talking about. This post is for one person only... In response to their previous comment here. So, to him.

Are you fucking kidding me?! I literally had to wait for YEARS for you to talk to me, and you won't even wait for a few weeks to hear back from me? I see you've removed your comment to my "Moo...moo moo" post. Why? I can only assume it means that you made that decision yourself and changed your mind about your offer. You are, after all, the one who keeps telling me how great your life is now without me in it...Which is part of why I had to think about your offer to meet. I was surprised. You know that I want an explanation, and you told me that you didn't think you should have to give one...So, for those two reasons I had to think about what exactly I would be meeting you for. What we would be hoping to get from it...What I would expect from you, and where I want us to go from here. In addition to the many issues regarding our situation I also have a lot going on in MY LIFE! I've pretty much been moving for the past 2 months, and haven't been able to spend a lot of time with the people that are still a part of my life, let alone make time for someone who doesn't want to be around me anymore. I didn't even have time to get online for 2 weeks straight. I came on here today prepared to give you an answer, before realizing that the olive branch had an expiration date. So, whatever.... Apparently it's still not something you really want. Too bad. As I said to you YEARS ago when this whole fucking mess started...I would think 15 years is worth more than that. Guess not.

The Agony of Defeat

I love me some Johnny Weir... my poor sweet baby... he had a bad night. Too bad. Now he'll just have to work extra hard next month at the world championship. My 2 other sweet babies Yevgeny and Stephan were able to pull it out getting the Gold and Silver. Good for them. : D

Now let's talk about Lindsey Jacobellis. WTF?!?!?! Wow... what was she thinking?! Granted it was a very 'snowboarding' thing to do...very punk rock... but this is for a Gold medal dumbass! Anyway, I hope she really is able to enjoy the silver medal now and I'm sure we'll see her again in Vancouver.

Now for some more movie reviews. Today in honor of the Winter Olympics the movies are scored out of a possible 5 mountains. : D Enjoy

Serenity: MM
Monster-In-Law: MMM
March of the Penguins: MMMMM
Wedding Crashers: MMM
The Aristocrats: MMMMM

Toe Pick!

So, it's my favorite time in the world...Winter Olympic time!!! Yeah! : D I love the Olympics so much, especially the winter Olympics because I'm a huge figure skating fan. I'm not one of those every-four-years-I-watch-skating-during-the-Olympics type fans... I watch figure skating events all year, every year. I know the skaters and I'm emotionally invested in the competitions. I know you're supposed to root for the athletes from your own country, and I don't get me wrong, I am. However, my prediction is that the Russians will win in all four styles. I think our only real chance at a medal is in Ice Dance with Belbin and Agusto, they might be able to win. Other than that... it all about the Russians. They are just so much better than the rest of the field this year, that no one really comes close. My personal favorite is Yevgeny Plushenko. He ROCKS!!! He's amazing! He came in first in the short program last night (no surprise) and the final is tomorrow.

Yevgeny Plushenko

Another favorite of mine is Stephan Lambiel from Switzerland. He's the best spinner by far, and it doesn't hurt that he is HOT! Look at him... yummy.

Sasha Cohen and Stephan Lambiel

As for the whole Michele Kwan drama... I don't think she should have been chosen to go in the first place. She wasn't physically able to compete all season basically and I don't think it was fair for her to have been chosen. However, the new scoring system doesn't benefit her type of skating, so she really didn't have a chance at a medal anyway. Sad, but true. Sasha Cohen is our only hope, and even that is a false hope. She has yet to bet Irina Slutskia (Russia). Michele is by far the best all around women's skater, and what she has done for the sport is undeniable. I feel bad for her because she is so hard on herself that I worry she is going to feel incomplete without the gold, when she shouldn't, she's had an amazing competitive career. I love her and look forward to seeing her on the road in her professional career. Keep your eyes on Belbin and Agusto in Ice Dance though. They are SO HOT together...they just might get the job done.

Further skating notes later. eeeeee..... I HEART SKATING!! Then, after the Olympics, the World Championship is next month.... sweet!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi everyone. I know... I've been a naughty absentee blogger. Moo...moo moo. It's been crazy getting everything moved out of my place so the construction can begin... but it's done. I'm completely moved out and they started the rebuilding this week. Yeah!! : D Soon, the Flood will be nothing but a distant memory. So, now I'll have time again to take care of my nooks and crannys. They've been neglected...

Jake, Justin, Cristal and I are going to Coachella! SWEET! I'm so excited! That means I'll get to see Depeche Mode again, and I'll finally get to see Tool and Franz Ferdinand. The festival is the weekend before my birthday too, which is great timing for me. It's like having two weekends of birthday celebrations. : D Even more exciting is the Bon Jovi concert coming up on the 23rd. AAAAGHGHGAHGHAHGH!!! CAN'T WAIT... MUST HAVE IT NOW... so close...stay on target. Unfortunately, Richie Sambora (BJ's lead guitarist) and Heather Locklear are getting divorced. My poor baby Richie is going to be hurting.... : ( Now that means I have to not like Heather anymore. Too bad, I really liked her... but I don't make the rules. She dumps him - I dump her. That's how it goes.
