John Karr: Daffy Bastard

Wow... I don't think any of us that live in Colorado expected to ever see an arrest made in the JonBenet case. That day has come, and I simply can't believe it. Literally. I don't believe it. Of course we'll have to wait and see what further information comes out, and it's hard to believe that the Boulder Police Department would move on this without being sure...but we are talking about the Boulder Police Department here. Let's not forget it's like the keystone cops up there in Boulder. They should have had their Environmental Police handle this whole thing. They are the real authority in Boulder after all. (For those of you not from Colorado... I'm not kidding about the Environmental Police. They really have them in the People's Republic of Boulder.) I hope I'm wrong. I hope he did it and that justice will finally be found for this little girl. I hope her parents really weren't involved. ....We'll see...

Whether he did it or not, either way he is a Daffy Bastard.

I think the timing of the whole thing is so convienent for the Bushies. This story had a one day head start before the first federal judge ruled that the surveillance program the Bushes are doing to us is unconstitutional.
Now most americans without a functioning brain missed that story because CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News played nothing but the Jon Benet Ramsey story. Maybe 2 minutes covering the judge's ruling, which in itself was very signifigant because it's basically saying Bush committed an impeachable offense.
I don't mean to sound cold, what happened to that little girl was awful i wouldn't wish it on anyones child, BUT jesus christ how many times has a murder like this gone unsolved to thousands of other little girls and the country hasn't focused on them?
Just because she was from a rich family, it all makes me sick to be honest.
The country is focusing on a ten year old murder case of a little girl who if she had lived, probably would of grown up to be a spoiled little rich bitch clone of Paris Hilton. We're focused on THIS while our country silently falls into fascism. Great.

Wow... I don't think that the fact that this case dominated the news means that democracy is dying. I think you both need to lighten up a little. This is the way the media works... it always has. Why? Because that is how our people work. They report what the people want to hear about. Don't get me wrong, I agree that the amount of coverage was WAY overkill, but I wasn't shocked by it at all. Yes, obviously I agree that there are SO MANY other things that should be getting attention from the media, but again... that is always the case. We have to find a way to wake up our fellow citizens and get them to start caring what is being given to them in the news. Until then, this will never change. (I also think it's completely unfair to assume that a little girl from a wealthy family would grow up to be a spoiled rich bitch Paris Hilton clone. That's stupid. That would be like assuming a little boy from a poor family would grow up to be a drug addicted criminal destined for prison. Not true at all.)

i didn't mean to make it sound like just because she was from a rich family that she'd grow up to be a paris hilton. the reason why i said that was because everytime they show this little girl on t.v. apparently she was put in beauty pagents all the time.
That to me is unforgivable to raise you child to value shallowness and vanity.

That's why i said she'd grow up to be a paris hilton clone.
The whole jonbene thing is making me really fucking sick.
I'm tired of our media whores not reporting the news anymore.
I honestly have to go to the internet to get my news, that's how it's been going on 5 years now, ever sence i started paying attention to the news.
Ironiclly after 9/11 and the crazy circus with the lead up to Bush's illegal war.
I don't see how we can let our government get away with the shit it does.
That to me is fascism, we are living in an Orwellian nightmare, i'm sorry if it ofends you that i feel this way.
Sorry.

It doesn't offend me that you feel we have a fascist government right now. I happen to agree with that, which I thought you both understood. What I'm saying is that I don't think that the JonBenet case getting media coverage is an example of that fascism. It was a big case 10 years ago, so it makes sense that a new break in the case would also be big news.

The JonBenet coverage in my opion is a huge distraction. Especially on the day when the first federal judge ruled that the administration is pretty much wipping their ass with our constitution.
That should of been on every front page in every newpaper in the country, but it wasn't. It was shadowed by this god damn Karr guy who according to people who have been following the case for years, probably didn't even commit the murders.
I was just confused because it seemed to me like you thought the JonBenet case was more important than the news coming out that a federal judge ruled Bush commited a federal crime.
I understand the interest in the whole JonBenet thing especially since it's real close to home, but i just personally am sick of all these distration stories coming out whenever something damaging comes out about the Bushies.
It's either some shit like the JonBenet thing or some fake terror plot.
The most recent one in London was fake in my opion, it's coming out that the 20 something people they got, they didn't even have passports to fly overseas, and they hadn't even bought airplane tickets yet!
It's like the group of kids they busted in Florida that they said were gonna blow up the Sears tower and it turned out they were just dumbass terrorist wannabes.
It's all to distract you from the REAL news!
Keith Olberman did a great piece about it on his show last night, he did a time line of when the Bushes were in trouble and showing a few days later some news story coming out or fake terror plot coming out to distract the public and keep them in fear.
I'm sick of it, that's all my point is.

I have not said or implied that I think the JonBenet case is more important than the federal judge ruling. If it's the fact that I blogged about the JonBenet case that gave that impression, then so be it. I do care about the case, so I'm going to blog about it. Sorry if you got the impression that I felt it was more important, because I don't feel that it is at all.
