Happy Black Friday

So, I got up this morning to go and stand in line at WalMart for a $25 Christmas tree. Yes, I sold my soul the evil empire that is WalMart, however you have to keep in mind that our family Christmas tree was destroyed in The Flood, and we haven't replaced it yet. This is only the second time I've gotten up to go out for Black Friday door buster sales, but a $25 Christmas tree...when you are in need of a tree, come on! Can't pass that up, that would be like throwing money away. lol I didn't have to throw down with all the crazy people in the electronics department, those are the people that take off running. lol The funniest part though was that as the line was starting to go inside (at 5am) this woman and her kid started walking up to the doors... as in walking right past all of us who had been in line for an hour (and it was freezing!) anyway... So, she's walking towards the doors and someone from behind me in line threw an empty soda can at her back. LMAO Seriously, it was SO funny. The lady turned around and started yelling at everyone that her husband was already inside. So people behind me were yelling back at her, including a few of my favorite responses... as follows here. "Yeah, my husband is with your husband lady!" "My husband is the manager so I guess I can go in too!" and my favorite "We're not going to let you just walk in there." It was awesome! I thought there was going to be a rumble. Anyway, I got the tree, although it's not great. I know, what do you expect for $25, and it'll do for now. When I was in line I ran into my best friend from elementary school. Random right? Anyway, her and her mom offered me a part time job this tax season. Sweet serendipity. lol It's not until January, but it'll be cool to bring in some extra cash by doing some filing and answering some phones or whatever. So, now I'm home and I can't get back to sleep yet. Thanksgiving was nice actually. Thanksgiving is my least favorite holiday of all, and I dread it every year. Usually it's all about family drinking too much and then comes the drama. However, this year it wasn't like that. We spent the day with my cousin Jason and his wife Julie, and some of their family. It was great to spend some time with Jason's baby, Jeffrey. He's just the cutest thing ever and I love getting to see him. Anyway, we ate well and had a nice day. Hope you all had a nice day too. Now it's on to Christmas. That means I've got to redecorate around here a little. :D
