A Long Time Ago, In a Galaxy Far Far Away.....

K...if you haven't seen Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith yet, (and there is no excuse for this by the way. It's been out for 18 hours now! Go...see it you must. Only then, a Jedi will you be.) do not go any further. This is my blog so I'm gonna talk all about it, because I want to. So, if something gets ruined for you, it's your own fault. I saw it at 12:01 am this morning, and it was AMAZING!!! The Star Wars movies are always great to see opening night, but this had an energy all it's own. I suppose it's because now we've come to the end of this great story that everyone has grown up with. I can't say enough how incredible this movie was. It was everything I wanted it to be. I cried for the last half, seeing Anakin slip away and change into Darth Vader who is more evil then we even knew before. I can't believe he killed the younglings!!! I couldn't help but think...no, anakin! Fight! don't do it! Don't go the dark side...fight it! Poor Anakin. Now I understand why he changed, and why he had to. It was so emotional for me. However, what was not emotional for me was all the lightsaber battles going on in the theatre during the 4 hours we sat in there before the movie started. Don't get me wrong, as a Star Wars nerd fan myself, I love their enthusiasm! However, when 400 people are constantly going in and out of the theatre for 4 hours.....do you think you could maybe NOT HAVE YOUR DUEL IN FRONT OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE DOORS!!!???? Seriously! Everytime I went out to go pee or to smoke a cigarette I felt like I was in the movie. Dodging lightsabers, jedis and Vaders left and right. At one point all of the "saber-holders" in our theatre decided to have one big mass battle up in front of the screen. So, there were probably 35 people, plastic sabers blazin', go balls out jedi style! It was pretty funny to watch. People getting hit in the face, or trying fancy jedi-like-twirly-moves only to slip and fall on the floor. Good times. Other than the deadly sabers, it was a great night. This movie ties together the first 2 and the last 3 perfectly. Even the technology throughout the movie downscales, so that by the end it has the same look as A New Hope. All praise Master Lucas!!! I can't wait to see it again.

In other news, my friend Chris graduated from college last weekend! Congrats to Christoph!! I'm so excited for him. It seems like he's been in school forever, and he's been so stressed out with it. I'm glad that part is behind him. Now he just has to find a job. : ) He's leaving on a cruise this weekend with his girlfriend, and my mom and her boyfriend are also going out of town this weekend. So, I'll be by myself house and pet sitting for my mom's boyfriend. He's got a nice house up in the mountains though, so it should be pretty fun. I'm hoping some of my friends will come up and stay with me so I'm not so bored just hanging out with myself for a weekend.

What else do we need to discuss? .........Everyone should be watching G4TV this week. They've got coverage of E3 '05 all week long. For those of you who don't know what that is, E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) is held every year, and it's a look at what's ahead in the gaming future. This year is all about the next generation systems. Microsoft, of course, is presenting the XBox 360* (which looks incredible of course...but alas, no Halo 3 as a launch title.), then there's the Playstation 3 (which looks amazing!! wow!!! can't say enough about this one!), and Nintendo has the Nintendo Revolution (? I think that's what it's called anyway.) This looks good too, but they aren't as far as the other two in it's development, so they haven't had as much to show. Anyway, it's cool shit if you're a gamer, so check it out.

And I'm spent. I have to go think about Star Wars, and you need to go see it! : )
