Barbara Bush, interviewed on Sep. 5, 2005 on NPR, said the following in reference to the Hurricane Katrina victims transfered to the Astrodome in Houston.
"What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary is they all want to stay in Texas. Everybody is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, this is - this is working very well for them." ....mmmm....heartwarming...
