Denver Just Got Ba-Rocked!

Well, the DNC is finally over. I never thought the convention could feel so long...but when it's in your town...oi. It feels like it's been going on for weeks already. It's EVERYWHERE! It's all anyone talks about, our interstates have been closed for days, the news is all convention all day basically. ::sigh:: Us Coloradans have loved having you well...Welcome...but please leave now. We need a break. lol Anyway, on to the convention...after all that's what it's all about. As a Democrat I was a little irritated that it seemed to take so long to get going. It seems like they wasted a lot of time they could have used better when the convention first got going. The first day was the worst, but each day it did get better and better. By the end I think this was an amazing convention, especially last night. I thought Bill, Hillary, and Joe Biden all did what they needed to do. I thought they all did a great job. I missed Michelle speaking, so I'll have to go watch her online, but I hear she did well too. I also loved seeing Al Gore. Seriously, could Bill Clinton and Al Gore be better public speakers? No. They are amazing to watch... so those were two highlights for me.

Lets get down to the man himself though. OMG...you guys...I can't wait until Barack Obama is our new President. He rocked my face off. I just think he's an amazing man and I thought he did a great job during this convention and managed to get the energy needed to officially kick off his campaign. His speech was incredible. If you missed it you can check it out in my video window above. I'll also get the Clinton's on there and Al Gore too.
As for the DNC experience in town, it was pretty mild actually. There were some protests, but everything was peaceful and respectful, for the most part. The biggest drama was just all the road closures. I'm pretty proud of our state and think that we managed to host a pretty great party for my fellow Dems. What an incredible and historical event.
