Woo Hoo! I fucking love me some Olympics! My poor Tivo, on the other hand, not so much. So, here are the highlights to look for in all the Olympic coverage. Tomorrow, Saturday Aug 9th you can watch Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh defend their gold medal in beach volleyball. On Sunday, my sweet baby, Michael Phelps will be in the 400 intermediate relay and on Monday night the men's gymnastic team competes in the team final (although no Hamm brothers this time, they're both injured and won't be competing. That's sad. : ( ) And then on Tuesday Phelps has another big day with the 200 fly and 4x200 freestyle relay final being held an hour apart. I'm really excited for the gymnastics this time, we seem to have a really strong women's team so they could really have a shot at gold. That would be great to see again. I'm also loving the fact that Days of Our Lives isn't going off the air during the Olympics. That rules because going without my soap for 17 days is unacceptable. I've got the opening ceremonies Tivo'd but haven't watched them yet. It looks like there was no sound during the performance though, "technical difficulties" it said on the screen. I wonder what's up with that? Someone got fired... lol.

According to 9news the 'Technical Difficulties' were due to the storm (i.e. the flash flood storm). Sound was out for like 15 min, picture went out a few times, and no HD for like half the ceremony.
